Russell J. Barcelona, Ph.D.
Russ Barcelona’s practice is focused on managerial assessment and development, succession development and planning, organizational assessment, competency model development, performance management, and test validation. His experience includes coaching executives from a variety of industry and service organizations including construction, insurance, utility and other business activities. He has consulted with numerous organizations to create and validate selection processes for positions such as underwriters, claim analysts, branch managers and regional managers. Russ also has helped create and implement 360-degree feedback processes for clients.
Prior to joining Hyde & Lichter Russ served as Industrial Organizational Psychologist at Wisconsin Electric Company. There he developed and implemented various selection and performance management systems and served on the national task force for personnel research in the electric utility industry. He initiated and built a leadership competency model and implemented methods to support succession, appraisal and development processes.
Russ completed his Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
